in 2013, I want to swim on most days of the week, for one hour a day, and learn to make handmade jewelry.
Thanks for this!

Every Jan. 1st, in the whee hours of the morning since 2009, I have declared that this year will be better than the past one. Well that obviously hasnt worked, so this year I'm trying some reverse psychology:

I hope that 2013 is the worst year of my entire life, filled with turmoil, hardship, dispair and exceptionally poor health!

My resolution is to not have any resolutions, thereby obliterating the very big chance of dissapointing myself. Since others seem to be so gifted in that field anyway they dont need my assistance

My resolution is to lose some weight, I say it every year and I never do it. This year will hopefully be different. I have achieved two out of my three goals I made for myself. Boyfriend, good job I love. The boyfriend came in 2010 and the job came this year. So I am hoping for the hot body in 2013!

Good thread!

I purposefully do not set weight-related goals. My goal - to swim - is within my control. It is achievable. weight depends on too many factors outside of our control.

I am the same way. I figure I need to work on something I can control rather than something I cannot totally control. I get discouraged easily when it comes to weight loss.

Eat less takeaway, go for more walks. But since goals should be specific- eat takeaway only 1 time per week and walk 4 times per week.
