So I saw my pdoc today. She thinks I should stay on the topomax for various reasons. Yay! That is much better than the Saphris or Zyprexa alone.

She also says that she talked with my therapist and they agreed that I do not have borderline personality disorder. Whew! Glad they both agree. She said the drs in the hospital had only known me a week and you have to know someone years to be able to accurately diagnose BPD.

I think you do not have that typical borderline pattern of relationships.

I was inpatient once and the onstaff Pdoc decided after seeing me for 2.8 minutes that I also had BPD ... I showed MY pdoc and T after I was discharged.. they both laughed and said " no wonder you don't like that idiot"

Im glad your Pdoc reassured you that you are on the right treatment

Great news

Thanks, Christina.

I posted on the BPD board that I wasn't happy with that possible diagnosis and they weren't happy that I'd say that and after all *I* need to be on life-long meds and they didn't. I'll take the meds and the bipolar. I'm used to it. I'm happy with the meds I'm on now. In fact, I just picked up a refill on my Topomax.

I had a feeling that was the case. The doctor at the hospital didn't know you at all and just knee jerk reaction. That's what i thought right away.

Glad you are happy with your meds. That's very good.
