I was dx'ed with cyclothymia after a traumatic event occurred within my family. I have a suspicioun that my "manic" episode after was a nervous breakdown vs mania. While most ppl would get depressed after I went happy and upbeat and flirty with uber confidence. Then after I went into a racing thought depression cooped up in my room for several months non stop researching the trauma. Doesn't that sound more like dealing than mania?
