Hey guys,

Need some hugs! Had a hard week. On Sunday afternoon we got a call from my Great Aunt who is 85 years old. Her Grand-Daughter whom I grew up with lost her baby girl, at full term. She was due on Saturday and went into labour Saturday night but lost the baby Sunday morning. This is the 2nd baby death this year The Funeral was today. I did not go but my Great Aunt did and she said it was awful. I went to my Friend's baby funeral last June and that was so awful. I would be an emotional wreck anyways

Last night I was speaking to a friend who has started working where I use to work but she works as a Relief Support Worker. Anyways she popped into the conversation that 1 of my guys had been kinda sectioned under the mental health act. I asked which one and she said I think his name began with a "J". Now there is only 1 "J" at my old work so I said his name and she said ye him. I was devastated. I worked so hard with him and got him to a great place, where his behaviour was good. Today I was in town shopping and bumped into an old colleague who still works there. I asked her if it was true and she has confirmed it. I am soooo angry, sad, upset. She has also said "they" meaning the manager and the team working with him now have screwed him up. He is now in a hospital unit being re-assessed. I just hope he gets out soon as the last 2 guys who went there never came back they got sent else where in Scotland. Which is really sad. Last night I had a wee cry. But today I told my Support Worker and while talking to her I burst into tears..... felt like a complete muppet!

My Christmas spirit has left me, as all I can think about is my guy!!!

What does "sectioned under the mental health act" mean?

Sorry for all of the stuff going on. Very sad.

It's when you are placed in the hospital, a mental hospital. You have been placed there under a certain "section" of the mental health act...... Pretty much he has either been arrested and the police have instead of placing him under him arrest have instead said he is "unstable" and sent him to the hospital or he has voluntarily went in which I highly doubt it. The last way would be if his carer/guardian thinks he needs to go into the hospital for some time.

Hope this all made sense!

Thanks Morethingswrong,

I have been feeling ok since my wee cry but you when your not feeling 100% in that respect. I have my MH Service's Christmas lunch out tomorrow at a local Chinese Restrurant. Its gonna be great and its definately gonna feel like Christmas as everyone pretty much finishes up tomorrow for the holidays. School's etc finish at 12pm. Then at night I am going along to the local Pantomime at the local theatre with the junior kids from the youth club I volunteer at. I just need to have some fun now I think!
