I just wanted to remind people to be careful with their medicines.

I was on 25mg of Seroquel and thought I could drop it. (Not listening to the doctor about further tapering) I stopped taking it an experienced a dip in mood and a TON of anxiety. The anxiety induced acid re-flux and my stomach was wrecked.

I even ended up at the ER where the doctor didn't actually think anything was wrong with me.

Became suicidal and spent 5-6 days crying before I started taking the Seroquel again.

Please be careful when you withdraw from medications.

Shew - I take 25mg and 200mg Seroquel, and would have also thought dropping the 25mg wouldn't have been a huge issue.
Thanks for the head's up

I'm fine now. I started taking 25 mg again and will wait to see my doctor about trying to taper off again the proper way.

I don't really want to stay on this medication. During that week I could barely sleep and would wake up exhausted. It was a terrible experience.

I feel like I am dependent on it, now. Lithium has never given me withdrawals like this.

I know its the medication because I started to retake it again consistently for 3-4 days and my sleep and mood returned to normal.

Wow, I agree and had problems with Seroquel too. Was taking it for sleep mainly and tried for 6 months to taper and get off. I would even cut the 25 mg in half for weeks and that didn't even work. I couldn't sleep and was so mad it had me so hooked on that drug. I didn't sleep for 3 months last year and eventually my body gave out and I had to take a month off from work and basically recover from complete exhaustion and a shut down. I tried it again this past summer determined to get off and I did. It was so miserable. I was depressed and exhausted most of the time but I don't work in the summer so I figured I could handle it.
Strange how powerful that Seroquel is. When taking it it worked though.

Wow sorry to hear you had such trouble with it. I've never been on it so can't say how it affected me. But I haven't had any meds do that to me.
