Today marks five days without showering, washing my hair, fixing my hair, or putting on makeup.

I'm forcing myself to take a shower in a few minutes so we can make it to the late-morning church service. I don't want to miss the Christmas music.

I have, however, brushed my teeth this whole time. It's been quite a while since I got bad enough that I neglected my teeth. I think the longest I've gone without brushing teeth was three or four days.

I'm not really depressed. Just kind of blah. And I went through that mixed-state-agitated-angry thing a few days ago. Also wanted to run away from home.

Now I'm just feeling like, "Why bother? Nothing is going to matter and we're all going to die anyway, and nobody will remember us in one or two generations."

Because with every choice you take you help change the world. We may not see or even understand how our actions help others but they do. Sometimes just a simple smile makes someone's day, one little act of kindness.

Especially in cold weather a few days isn't a big deal. We just had a blizzard go through, so it has been really cold and very windy. Here in Midwest, I mean. I think it was supposed to warm up so you will probably feel more like going out - and getting ready to go out.
