I glad you're all set to have an enjoyable evening. I love listening to the radio.

What is novelty music, if you don't mind me asking. Is it some sort of classic music from a long time ago?

not anymore..... depression came along to spoil it!

novelty music is.. people who sing song- but they arn't like the regular stuff you'd hear on the radio, it's commedy stuff... so it's meant to make you laugh or what ever (loads of novelty artists out their, dr demento, bob rivers, rolf harris somewhat) etc etc etc

so yeah... music to make you laugh

sometimes the songs are parodies of another song (so that means someone takes a well known song) and then just changes the lyrics- and that is cool too.

when i'm feeling a lil better (hope sometime tomorrow) i'll compile some youtube links and send you a pm with some stuff in it

hope i did a good job of explaining though?

Oh yes - Okay. I know what you mean. I didn't know that was the term. I would guess ray stevens and weird al's songs would fit in that category. I think they can be hilarious when they change the words up. I think a whole evening listening to songs like that sounds wonderful! I hope you enjoy many smiles and laughs.

i totally forgot about weird al, yeah... he would fit in that category for sure!

and... ray stevens?

who is he

as for the novelty night... well as i said i can't because i'm far too depressed- but perhaps it will be repeated on another night, or i can just get my weird al collection out and listen to that
