I'd like to meet someone (female) my age to occasionally send private messages. I am new to this forum and can't seem to find somewhere to carry on conversations. My brain's committee is on overdrive right now.

Is there a way to set up a special geezer group?
Thanks for this!

Well, I haven't reached "geezer" status as yet, but at 54 I can see it from here.

It depends on who you ask, but I don't declare myself as a "geezer" yet at 51. On the other hand, my kids and my students think that over 50 is ancient. (btw, my students have decided that I am either in my late thirties or early 40's, and I don't argue!)
I would gladly carry on conversations through pm's with you.

There is a Social Group for 55 and Over http://forums.psychcentral.com/group.php?groupid=157. I know it's an active group and I think has a couple dozen members, so maybe there'd be a bipolar female ... fairly good odds.

There're so many bipolars here and many of us older women, I think if you're patient and keep reading, wait for the holidays to get over, you'll find some good matches.

Normally I'd be happy to have you over to my place--I'm a 66-yr old bipolar alcoholic--but I'm sorting through a bunch of physical problems right now and have a situational depression digging the ground from under me as fast as it can. I'm barely keeping myself out of the hole, so I'm not much use to anyone else right now.

The holidays have taken a pretty big bite out of everyone's reserves, energy, and time--so let everyone catch their breathes and then begin getting to know the posters. There is also a bipolar chat on Friday evenings. This is an amazing site with mostly generous, caring members. I know you'll make some good connections if you can give everyone time to catch up.
Thanks for this!

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
