Does anyone else have Bipolar as well as a thyroid condition?
I have Hashimoto's - it's an autoimmune disease. I am on medication but am still struggling with extreme fatigue.

I have Hashimoto's and have a bipolar component to my illness (schizoaffective; bipolar type). Is an endo treating your disease?
Thanks for this!

Diet plays a big role as well as meds in managing fatigue. Some foods to avoid are peanuts, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, brussel sprouts, peaches, plums, and spinach.

There are books called "The Thyroid Diet" and "The Thyroid Diet Revolution" as well as "Living Well With Autoimmune Disease" and "Living Well With Hypothyroidism" by Mary J. Shomon that you might want to check out. She is a thyroid patient advocate and has written numerous books on the thyroid. You can also "Like" her on Facebook under "Mary Shomon:Thyroid Patient Advocate, Author" to connect you to her and with several thousands of other people who are also struggling with thyroid disease/issues.

I hope this helps. Be well.
Thanks for this!

Thanks! I just ordered a book called, "Stop the Thyroid Madness" and have recently started a gluten-free diet, which my doctor thinks is a good idea.
