Hope y'all are doing fine! I was wondering... Are we on cycles? I mean, have any of you noticed that when you're manic, or any other symptom, so is other ppl with bp? My dad is un diagnosed but I'm sure he is just like me.. And I noticed we kind of went off at the same time... There are no coincidences... So... Umm... So what's cooking y'all ?

My husband isn't bp, but if I'm hypomanic he will have more energy, if I'm depressed he will seem more fatigued, if I'm irritable he will get slightly cranky... So I could only imagine what it would be like if he was bp!
I think it's totally possible, I know I unintentionally feed off of other people's moods.

It depends, we tend to feed off each others or on the opposite ends of each other. When I'm mixed my husband becomes exasperated.

Something to note:
Your mood changes the way you perceive things. If you're happy then you'll find people are more pleasant to be around. If you're depressed it's easy to feel more hostile towards others. I'm a mood vampire...>.>

I know ppl feed from me, I'm positive and happy, Witty etc and by the time I finish with social interactions I'm done. I noticed my husband has learned lots from me, so he is now better but as far as moods I think we are at different ends. Which is good. Help balance. Now, with dad, my mom tells me he has being doing this or that just on days that I was as well off balance!

My friend and i Used to be on opposite cycles when living together, in last year good old Pre med days. And when we did coincide... Chaos. Utter chaos and such naughty behaviour. So lucky we were mails opposite.

I think that if you live in close proximity with other people with bipolar, you all start to fall into similar patterns. I live with my mother-in-law who has bipolar 1 and my husband who isn't diagnosed but I wonder about him. The house just suddenly becomes "charged" with either up or down energy. It's kind of interesting observation.
Like, you know, when a bunch of women live together their cycles sync up. I wouldn't be surprised to learn this is true of bipolar also. When I was having psychosis and undiagnosed and believing I was "all powerful" I thought that my manic/depresive cycles were magical energy tides washing over all of us. And when tides were "high" people were more peppy but also more volitle and when tides were "low" people were more sad and down.... I remember that pretty clearly. Now when I look back I'm like "ooooh, now I understand."
