Why can't I just press a button and make my apartment spotless?????
I live in a 1 bedroom apartment and it feels overwhelming. I spent over an hour (maybe 2) throwing stuff out + giving a cat a bath + doing dishes...still need to sweep/mop + vacuum + clean surfaces. Like 2-3 more hours. I rather sleep then finish. I put this off for 2-3 weeks though and my parents are visiting...

I showered today.
I didn't shower for two days before that. Normally I don't mind cleaning but feel like a negative nancy today.

You gave your cat a bath
 That is something HUGE ( I think ) pat yourself on the back. When are your parents arriving?

tomorrow around 12-2pm. I have an activity in the morning so I don't have time to clean then.
I've been giving him baths since he was a weee little thing. He doesn't struggle or jump out (generally). He looks at me with his eyes wide open and asks why I'm torturing him. ;_; But he smelled and its been like 2 months since his last bath.

Awesome you got him use to it. Maybe just do a quick " clean off the counters ,vac, and clean bathroom.

Sweeping/moping is the hardest. I have to because Locke tracks cat litter everywhere. ;_;
It has to be fairly clean and not just ok-clean. I don't want/need my mom to try and clean my place when shes over. She's done it before.

A problem I understand well. Is your mom nice about it, nasty about it, passive aggresive about it?

She isn't mean about it, it's just something she starts doing if she sees a mess. My parents are minimalists and clean their house once a week.
It's more of a "i don't want to disappoint my mom by having a messy space"
