I doubt that you are choosing to do this so I don't believe it would fall under the catagory of coping. coping would be your reaction and thought process after this happens. these, to me, are symptoms.

Sounds like to me you are fast cycling bi-polar. The only way to cope is to get medicated for it. So please see a psychiatrist, and get prescribed medications that work for you. I know Tegretol and Abilify work for me.

I agree-it sounds more like cycling, if you are not trying to do this intentionally.

Yeah sounds more like cycling. I would talk to a pdoc ASAP. I'm a rapid cycler myself so I know what you mean I can go from happy to sad or angry or a number of things in a second. So hang in there, and seek help ASAP.
