This bipolar is actually causing me to feel my brain is sick, off balance, etc. I was on abilify for 10 days and felt hypomania or maybe just a lift in the depression (can't tell which). I did have insomina, headaches, some sedation, nervousness, etc. but then ended up in the ER with heart palpatations in the 160s, so doc took me off it. He says abilify is a strange drug in that it works on dopamine in certain areas of the brain but not others. So that makes sense because half my brain feels like it is on speed and the other half sedated and depressed. Very weird feeling. I just want a freakin normal brain not a sick, diseased one.

I hope they get your meds sorted out soon. I can't imagine having heart palpitations that sounds terrible.
I know what you mean by your brain feels sick. It kinda sounds like a mixed episode to me. __________________ “When everything seem to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it ....” ― Henry Ford lamictal 200mg, synthroid 75 mcg, Testosterone injections thanks to lithium causing thyroid problems |

I feel so much of what you're saying. Our brains feel sick, we want one that isn't diseased.
God, it feels a little nice to hear someone else saying that. I think our funky brains tend to over reacted to some drugs and unfortunately you got a little bit of a roller coaster ride on the abilify it seems. Sorry about that. __________________ Just a little tree kitty. Depression, Anxiety, Panic. Med free. |
