I do believe that giving first hand experiences to people is helpful vs. just having the medical text book for illness. Also reading a book about someone else finding recovery and how they got there can give hope.

I know a few people here write blogs about their illness and I've seen other blogs as well. Either way, sharing what we go through is a good thing.

Firsthand accounts are always nice.

Now for constructive criticism time: I mean this in the gentlest and kindest of ways, you would have to have some serious editing and proofreading of your work in order to publish a serious and useful book of sorts. You use of language is very nice, but your grammar and spelling are not that of a 45 year old. Please don't take offense to this, I'm only basing this off of reading this post.

Not many people feel using proper grammer on a forum is needed. Just saying. I know I dont use it.

That I totally understand, but there is a difference in short-hand for forums, texts, e-mails, what-have you and just plain bad English skills. Knowing this is a community of many educational backgrounds, truly I'm not judging. It just looks really poor on the OP when they are speaking about writing a book to be published but are butchering their spelling.

If you want to sell a book, first you must be able to write.

I know I write things differently on the forum than I would if I'm working on my story.

Plus, you know, mania can effect grammar and spelling, too.

But, I know you were just being constructive. Would be great if LostSoul666 gets a book going!

Thanks for understanding where I was coming from. I too, really think it would be awesome to find out anyone I knew here published a book describing the first-hand reality of mental illness.
