they are just a tool.
tapatalk is just a tool.

they are both tools to communicate and stay in touch.
they don't replace reality....
but instead enhance it!

If I didn't use these tools then I would be out of touch during the day.
If I didn't use these tools, I would not be able to keep up with everyone on the boards throughout the day.

they are just tools... not a replacement of reality or anything else.

no different than a shovel, really!
a tool with a specific job.

for me, they make life easier to do the things that I want to do while I am doing the things that I have to do.

I can't figure out how to get the signature off of my emails and posts....
but that's just gonna have to be ok.

I agree. I know I can live without my phone. But, having it makes some things easier. I get lost, so now I have a map wherever I go. I get worried, so now I can text or call my husband no matter where I am. I need release, so now I can read funny things even at work....

It's a nice tool. But when I get home, it gets on the charger and stays there!

When I was a teenager, before smartphones, I knew the phone numbers of all of my friends by heart. Now, I do not exercise my memory anymore.

That is the downside.

I have a cell phone that's just a phone. I grew up during the days when phones were attached to the walls. I don't like being on call 24/7, so I generally leave my phone at home when I go out. Thus, it's kind of like the old phone & answering machine.

Thanks for this!

See, I have a terrible time with numbers. I have a lot of trouble remembering too many. So, it helps me a lot. I still know my work, my own, my husband, and my dad by heart. But all the rest I can keep on my phone and that's just enough to remember.
