Good luck.

Hello, Shery53, and welcome. I know what you mean. Nervousness goes with the
territory, I think sometimes. That's why I use the juice of one or two lemons squeezed into a glass of about 8 oz. of water. Drinking it will relieve some of the tension and nervousness for some of us. If it doesn't work within 4 hours, try repeating it; that ought to do it if it's going to work for you.

I use it only occasionally because it's such a strong remedy when it works.

Taking a muliple B vitamin series (that's a pharmaceutical grade one) will help, too.
The whole vitamin B series is very good for the nervous system.

If any of this is of help, there are some other things you might try later. I'll be glad
to offer them as a way to help when you feel you might wish to get more information.

Take care of yourself.

yes but I go to an inperson support group and one girl just kept telling me it was not going to work. I am counting on it working because I can't stand to be so nervous

The classic answer to that, Shery53, is that what doesn't work for one might very well work for another. Besides, if it turns out that Buspar doesn't work for you--unlikely, though--there are hundreds of other medications which might just be the thing for relief.

Your psychiatrist will know which ones to try. All of us have probably had more than
two attempts to get medications adjusted to suit our brain chemistry.

Take care and don't worry. Try to do the things that relieve some nervousness.

I have never heard of Seroquel being used to combat nervousness. It does cause deep sleep so while asleep on Seroquel you would not be nervous... but not during waking hours.

Have you been able to shed any of the weight?
