I need to do dishes...my kitchen has almost no clean dishes and the sink and counters are full of dirty dishes and some garbage...but I can't make make myself do it. Keeping two toddlers fed and entertained is hard enough today. Ugh...I need today to be over now.

Try to visualize clean dishes and an empty garbage pail. Maybe that would motivate you.

I made myself start. Thankfully I have a dishwasher, so I forced myself to unload it. Then I loaded it. There are still a lot more dishes left but the dishwasher is running and hopefully I can convince myself to do another load when it's done. I always feel so much better when the kitchen is clean.

I just love the sound the dishwasher makes when it is working. Very comforting for you... Something is actually working so that I do not have to...

Although the upscale models probably are quiet.
