Wow, what a rough couple of days, especially today. I have a sore throat, an achy body, and an awful headache. Today was so tough because I was determined not to ruin my children's time in Washington. I have been here many times on field trips, but this is the first time for the kids. We went to a couple of the Smithsonian museums and several of the monuments. Thank goodness it was cold and windy because we were supposed to go to the zoo, too. I switched back and forth between ibuprofen and tylenol every two hours and managed to survive.

Tomorrow we had planned to stay and go to the National Cathedral before going home, but we don't want to take a chance on the traffic, so we told the kids that we would take them to one of the museums in Richmond. I just need to survive until tomorrow evening.

Btw, when I came back I tried to take a nap, and during this time I "heard" my dog who is always at the foot of my bed. He makes licking, hmmff noises and that's what I heard. I have heard many voices before, but this was the first time I heard a dog.

Awwwww Blue,

I swear there is nothing worse than being away from home and being sick! Keep pushing loads of fluids to help your body flush out the stupid sickness. You have pushed yourself enough. Hearing your dog eh? I do that every time I leave home.. I think it's because they are "comforting sounds, reassuring, always there at nitetime sounds"

Take care of you, please

Hi BlueMountain,

Just wanted to say, chin up, sounds like you're almost done, and good for you to pull it together for your kids. You are a great parent.

That sounds like comforting sounds if you have to hallucinate anything.

I guess the only good thing is that the hypomania I've been fighting is gone for now.
Yep, hearing my dog was a good thing, I just couldn't find the warm little lump at the end of the bed.

Aww little lump sounds like a cute doggie. Good job sticking it out with the kids. I have some nice memories going there with my parents. I really hope you feel better soon Blue

I made it home! My kids said that they were okay not going to the museum. I think they got enough culture yesterday. Plus, they are real homebodies, like me.
I got no sleep last night because of the pains, so today on the way home, I put on my headphones, took a klonopin, and dozed all of the way home.
My husband is going to get the little furry lump and the big spastic lump in a few minutes. I'm looking forward to seeing my dogs!
