Hi Everyone,
I'm stepping up on Lamictal....I've been taking 25 MG for two weeks. Over the last week I've been aggressive when stressed, full of energy and completing task like ironing (which I hate and haven't done in 4-5 months). One morning I took my daughter to school and had on my pj shirt. I planned to go directly back home. Well I got a burst of energy and went to two stores to ask abt boxes (I'm in the process of moving). I will get a burst of energy and clean out a dresser draw. I've sorted through all my need to shred mail. This pass week I was able to fall a sleep with no problem but I would wake up at 2 AM not able to get back to sleep. I think Lamictal is working a little for me or I'm manic. I've been going laundry, packing, iron and running errands. Since winter i have not had energy or motivation to do numerous things or basic simple things. I was prescribed Lamictal to help with depression.

Lamictal can be activating, even at low doses. I remember having some mania at different times during the titration period (mine lasted a couple of months). Started out at 25 mg and eventually wound up at 250, but I can recall distinct mood elevations when I got to 75 mg and again at 150.

Of course, you realize this is coming from a woman who got a bug up her butt at 2 this morning and thought that was a dandy time to rearrange her sock drawer.....the look on my husband's face would've melted steel!

My mind is thinking abt so much that I can't relax for sleep. My youngest daughter takes Focolin XR and Wellbutrin. She's stepping down off Wellbutrin and refused to take it this morning. She pleaded and cried. I got her to take half the dose. I called my daughter's psychiatrist off and spoke with the nurse. She's suppose to speak with the psychiatrist and call me back. Pray for me you guys.
