The pdoc upped my son's dosage of abilify, and he just started the higher amount today, and he already seems better! I haven't heard any fights yet and I have been home for several hours. He emptied the dishwasher without any arguments. He went to the store with me and was sharing some funny stuff that happened at school.
I hope this lasts!

I have to even be amazed a bit more. His sister was hogging their bathroom, so I told him he could use the one in my bedroom, btw, he didn't throw a fit with his sister. When he finished, he told me how he was using the bubble bath to make Santa faces. I know, he would kill me if he ever read this, but it was so precious to hear a normal, enjoyable event. We have been through so much hell with him lately, that today has been wonderful!

I'm so glad! It's always wonderful to see things that they usually have issue with being enjoyable to them.

Definitely thankful! Just hoping for a good stretch of time. His outbursts have been wearing us all out. Also, it brings guilt for me, being the barer of bad genes.

Enjoy it for now, don't worry about later yet, you've been through so much. I understand about giving them the "bad" genes... but you give them love and not everyone is so lucky to have that from their parents.
