I need a distraction from the overwhelming depression and urges to self harm. Anything.

X-men mostly. The Maxx, too. At least for the art.

Wow, that's really good. What else do you do? Do you mostly paint? Or do you also sculpt? Knit? Arts & crafts?

I did the corset and skirt, as well as make my own prom dress. I drew this recently, too.

Nice drawings! Do you think you can make out colors (and shades) better than the average person? I believe that good artists have that ability. I'm not an artist but I had that happen to me one day in the Fall when I was racing badly and agitated. I saw a brown field and swore that I make out thousands of shades of brown. I couldn't believe it. I have a relative who's an extremely good portrait and realism painter in London. (Paul S. Brown - Classical Realist Artist - HOME)

Listen to some music or listen to some lectures on youtube (I listen to Philosopher Alan Watts sometimes). Download some free fonts online. There are tons of great free ones online (modern, graffiti, funky, classic, handwritten, calligraphy)

Go to Flickr and scan thru the photos. Excellent stuff. Or Getty Images.
