There have been a couple of posts lately regarding BP vs BPD. So, as I'm apt to do, I did some research looking for a relatively comprehensive article by mental health professionals on the subject (actually not easy to find).
In any case, this has great information on both distinguishing between the two disorders as well as the fact that both can be present. Hope it helps. http://www.medicinetoday.com.au/cpd/...-028-BOYCE.pdf (I'm not sure if the link works, you may have to cut and paste it into your browser). That is a really well written piece. Very helpful. I am coming to the conclusion that I have elements of both. Just unsure with my condition which is more predominant. Any borderlines on here who have sleep disturbance, distractability and changes in energy as well.
I can either have heightened creative thinking or periods of total incoherence. Suppose they last for hours rather than days but they are not reactive usually to external circumstances. |

I did enjoy reading it. I, like Howie, show signs of both, but I think the BP takes first place. My moods can last weeks.
