What your mind obviously did was to come up for reasons to stop staring at your wrist. The good, the suddenly dished up attractively, meals to still be had. The unasked for people that pops up inside of you uninvited, the words of a song long since forgotton, flashes of the future not yet lived, voices that starts talking at you and feelings in your tummy that might resemble having eaten all those meals already.
Good things, the silver linings of your life; past, present and future. The silver lining undoubtedly fighting the wrist. The wrist makes a strong come back with images of blood, feelings change from dispear to scared, you don't need a mirror to see your eyes diluting and you become a witness of the battle. Unknowingly, the silver is beating the red, dissociation is winning, is a pathway to neutral and neutral is as good as it can get for now.
Neutral is what breaks your trance and get you moving or crying or lying or however the lining plays out...
