If temp pdoc takes me off zoloft tomorrow, what could be forseen as a likely replacement, if any?

Maybe they won't do anything, though if my dad says I've been fine.

Ummm. First it doesn't matter what your dad says ... The Pdoc will be talking to you and going over how you feel and have been feeling. Make sure to be honest about your starting and stopping meds recently... Seriously , be honest.

Maybe a new AD maybe no Ad's ..

I agree with Christina about being honest about going on and off the meds, especially all the time off. I doubt you'll be judged, they've heard it all before. The thing is, if he/she thinks you've been taking the meds but have been unstable anyway, they'll think the meds don't help and that's really hard to tell since you haven't been taking them consistently.

Please try to keep in mind that it is just you and the pdoc in that room and making these decisions, it's that relationship that matters in this situation. You seem to feel the need to 'prove' some things to your father (especially that you're not fine), just be as honest as possible with the pdoc, no more or less than what you've been experiencing. This is how you're potentially going to get the treatment most appropriate for you.

I'm glad you're seeing the pdoc. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

well, Zoloft is used more as an anti anxiety than an anti depressant I think. So if they take you off of Zoloft, which I am currently on, then they would try a different anti anxiety on you I believe.

For me it was prescribed as a AD, so I dunno.

Prozac, maybe? Just a guess. I take Zoloft for depression and OCD. Have faith in your pdoc and good luck!
