Omgeeeee Its fkn SNOWING in Cape Town!!!! I was wondering why I was freezing more than usual today! So glad it didn't snow where I live, but 15k's away my friends are taking pics!

Idk if I should be excited or worried HTF I'm supposed to keep warm this Winter becoz I'm colder than most... idk why tho, poor insulation, bad circulation, who knows? I always maintained I would die of exposure if I lived where it snowed... Go figure

Haha and they told me our climate changing was ******** when I pointed out its been raining on Christmas for the last couple of years instead of beach weather!

Anyway, random post, I'm yet to see the snow for myself besides news footage and fb pics and just wanted to share

Venus, THAT is crazy! Not ready for that, maybe I'll work my way up to it For now I'm hiding under my blankets with my rechargable hotwater bottle! Face and all because my nose keeps feeling sore from the cold!

I kept looking out of the window to see if the moon had turned blue. It never snows in Cape Town. It gets cold and drizzly in winter, and gets its fair share of gales, ... but snow?????!!!

I hope you manage to fend the frostbite off, Trippin.

Seems there is extreme weather all over the world. How much snow did you end up with?
Unfortunately here in US we are dealing with tornadoes from the midwest to the east coast. As I am watching the news now, deaths from tornadoes and uncontrollable wildfires.
A bit scary!

Pete Lol lol and lol! I don't blame you!

Jackie Certain areas it was only hail, alot of places hail and sleet, covered, COVERED the roads in an icy blanket. Areas closer to the mountain and on the mountain was actual snow though. You had to see what the N2 looked like! Omw! Very very strange!

SS We can swop anytime. I love sunshine

BM That sounds aweful, I'm counting my blessings.

That is so crazy! Are you going to get to see the snow?

The climate is changing. When I was a kid we used to be able to skate on the river next to my house in the winter. Now it never even glosses over. It's been maybe 15 years since we were able to do that.

The tornados are terrible. I kept reading the news about them and crying until My husband made me stop for my own sanity. Where I live we never used to get tornados. We've had them every year for the last 3 years now. I keep praying they stay out on the grassland away from the cities and houses.

I don't want to see the snow just yet Way too chicken, I'll probably convince myself I'm freezing as soon as I spot it because I don't fair too well in "normal" Winter and am convinced its very cold when Gale Forced winds blow Ok granted I hate the Gales because they hated me first. Tried to kill me 3 times when they blew me into oncoming traffic!

My interview is at the foot of the mountain though, so if there's snow come Wednesday, I won't be able to avoid it.

DHX, I hope the tornados stay away too. We don't get those, although we had one in '69 just after my eldest sister was born. My mom said she was scared out her mind, with a 1 y.o, a newborn and the weather going nuts all of a sudden and her not being sure if the roof will hold! I'm so glad idk what that's like...
