I'm creating a bipolar playlist. I have some good songs on there that don't really have much to do with being bipolar, but they are lift me up songs about getting back to normal/ a good place. I am a big fan of rock, but I'm willing to give anything a try. If anyone has any suggestions that would be greatly appreciated.

I think a lot of us like that Matchbox 20 song "Unwell" really resonates. And, it's supposed to, I think. Sometimes I consider it our anthem. I just like how it really puts it out there, "I'm not crazy," You know?

I like "Six Underground" by the Sneaker Pimps, and sure I realize it's about drugs but still you could think of it as mania, too, especially my type of dysphoric mania.

And then "Mad World" by Gary Jules is probably one of my favotire depression side songs.

Dark Heart* I had two of your three already on the list, good thinking. Also I gave Six Underground a listen and it wasn't bad. I like the slow paced beat in the background along with the heavy emotions in the vocals.

Mandrec* Got good rhythm and I enjoyed the Ghostwriter song.

VenusHalley* Numb describes the experience perfectly. She has a great voice. Reminds me of Lana Del Ray

I have a couple here. There's matchbox 20 disease. Bullet for my valentine p.o.w. Deuce lets get it crackin (sometimes I will want to just go out have fun drink and just not care) redlight king bullet in my hand. Anberlin self starter. The boys night out album train wreck is an entire album made about mental disorders. Hawthorne heights sugar in the engine. Sick puppies maybe. And soil halo. The last one just seems like it's a mix of different feelings.

Last time I was "manic" (really just intensely hypomanic for like 3 weeks straight) I could NOT stop listening to Deuce to save my life. "No One Likes Me" is another great one.

Lately been listening to:
Heavy in Your Arms - Florence and the Machine
Hate Me - Blue October
Demons - Imagine Dragons
Fire Escape - Civil Twilight (VERY good one about not wanting to go on meds)

A lot of different tastes here. Good music all around and I appreciate the input. It's cool to listen to all different types of music that people are into. Happy it was shared. Here's a list of some songs that I found. They get me through times and get me back on my feet.

Animal I've become- Three Days Grace
No Giving Up- Crossfade
Coming Down, Lift Me Up, Back For More- Five Finger Death Punch
Living In A Dream, Whatever Doesn't Kill Me- Finger Eleven
Evolution- Korn

Some of them can get you through tough times... some of them are a little more forward lol. This has been fun. If anyone has anymore I'd be happy to listen to them.

When I need to smile, Jerry Reed "East Bound And Down" from 'Smokey And The Bandit". Reminds me of my days as a courier, driving like a manic maniac between Baltimore and Washington as well all over the mid-Atlantic states.
