We had a goals group in my last psyche ward stay. Every morning we sat at a table and each person established a goal for that day. Then in the evening we gathered again and noted whether or not we had reached that goal. There was no judgment if one did not meet their goal.

A goal can be small...such as taking a bath, getting dressed, eating a meal.
Or it can be bigger...cleaning a closet, running an errand, finishing a creative project or whatever you want it to be.

My goal for today is to buy bubble wrap from Lowes and wrap 12 paintings so when I move next week they won't break in the truck. We are moving across the country next weekend and I find setting small goals for myself each day slices back the overwhelming feelings I get when I move.

So what is everybody's GOAL FOR THE DAY ?

My goal for today is to NOT have a meltdown at the GPs and to actually make sense and explain things to her. My goal is to get a referral to a psychiatrist and to make sure that I explain what's been going on before meds and after meds.

It's a big goal. I'm terrified.

I've bribed myself with a hair appointment for afterwards

My goal for today is to talk more than yesterday. Come up with more to say and gain a little more of my confidence back. I plan on doing that by communicating with people at my work. I bought a comic the other day and read that. It's the first time I've ready for enjoyment in a while. I think goals are great. Taking baby steps in my recovery
