I need medication. I'm not sure what I want. Doctors have tried many on me. I dont even remember the names of them. Some i couldnt drive myself anywhere or i just slept all the time and couldn't eben get out of bed. I think the last were abilify and lexapro a year or 2 ago.... Any suggestions on what really works for you?

Lithium & Seroquel work well to keep my hypo/mania away almost completely. Not sure how to keep depression away though.

Different meds work differently on different people. Hope you find some that work for you.

Can you try to find out which were the names of the meds that you took, e. g. by contacting the doctors who prescribed them to you? I think it would be very helpful in your case to gather a list of the drugs which had too many side-effects in your case so you don't need to reinvent the wheel over and over again and suffer these side-effects again.

I'm on tegretol. It seems to at least even me out some. Now for the depression, well, my pdoc is a little nervous about putting me on any ad's for now.

The combination of lithium and Wellbutrin works well for me (I need an antidepressant because of significant depressive episodes). I am also on Saphris which has worked wonders on racing thoughts and also helps the mood stabilizing properties of the lithium.
Thanks for this!

I'm on celexa, geodon, Lamictal and Ativan. It works at the higher dosages. I tried lithium and gained 60 lbs but I know it's the first line of defense for bp1. I could not handle the side effects and it took away my desire to paint. As an artist, creative energy is a must for me. My husband is also bp1 and takes trileptal and celexa. This has worked for him for 7 years and he has been stable....for the most part!

I'm also curious about this. I'm diagnosed: ADHD Depression/Anxiety BP.
wellbutrin-generic 150MG XL
Lamictal-generic. 100MG
Adderall- 20MG XR
.is the lamictal supposed to help with what? like I feel like I am going through so many phases each day. I feel like I am rapid cycling everyday! Mostly depression, worthless, life is pointless, this life sucks and I suck. and normal for a tiny bit and then my mania is nothing the way it used to be, I just feel more productive(Adderall for ADHD) and then I will feel so happy to have my kids and to have what I have but then the paranoia and anxiety happens and then my anger/outbursts. they kinda mix together though. Im not sure my meds are working as well as they used to. I think I used to feel happy. before easter for about 2 months I felt like I was starting to feel more stable but now that seems like a dream.
