Moved to a new state. Trying to find drs with sliding scale. Am filling out a family assistance form but doubt we'll be approved due to small savings account. Problem is my husband who is also bipolar suffered an accident to his neck and has been unemployed one year and his surgery didn't work. We are uninsured and unemployed. My BP is so severe I can't work. I have had over 40 jobs. So the savings is running out. What do we have to be on the street to get help? I figure we can last another 8 months in this apt.

If I have to live in a shelter I'll be seperated from my husband. I'll lose all my framed art. I'm just scared because neither of us is getting better. My husband has worked hard all his life up until the accident. He wants to work but can't. I want to work but I know it will kick me backwards into istability and I can't afford another hospital stay. Four psyche wards in six months before we got the heck out of the south. But we had charity care and it was free. Now we're in another state and the rules are different.

If we never can work again how will we survive? Will we have to live in a crime ridden area? I tried for disability one time and was denied and did not pursue it with an atty. I gave up too easy.

I feel like a pregnant cloud ready to burst with thunderstorms, but nothing happens. The cloud moves on and the monotanous sun flames and flings her fiery tendrils with no relief.

I will have to go through the motions, the paperwork, the copies of taxes and this and that before my meds run out. Im hopeless and overwhelmed. How do people make it? How do we live?

I would strongly suggest that you try to apply for disability again. Has enough time passed since the last time you applied that you are able to do so again? (Sorry if that question sounds ignorant, I really don't know anything about the process.)

Check your county's department of jobs and family services website to check and see what social assistance programs are available in your area.

It sounds like you're in an incredibly stressful situation, I really hope things start looking up for you.

you sound pretty hopeless right now. see if there is a family resource center in the area you moved to. they can help you find resources that you are entitled to, help with disability, etc, mental health provders and such. at least then you will know what is available for you. good luck
