Luck!

My pdoc change has been amazing! It made sense to have my pdoc where I did (5 minutes from school rather than an hour and a half away from school -- college), and now it makes sense to have my pdoc at home rather than at school since I'm not going back to school...but I was thinking about switching anyway, and I'm sooo glad I did! So hopefully this will be good for your son too!!

We saw the t. It was two hours of forms and questions. I'm exhausted and have a migraine. I had to sign some form saying we don't have Medicaid even though we do figuring we're not even using it- we're using his dad's insurance and I'm paying the copayment. It's all so weary. I'm beginning to doubt that Nathan is sick at all.

With all this rigamarole maybe he's just a normal teenager.

Were you given any feedback? It seems with all the testing, some information about Nathan's needs would have been given.

My parents thought I was pretending, too, when I was a teenager. Now I'm in my 30's, I live with them, have no job, have crippling anxiety, and am completely financially dependent on them. They chose to send me to college rather than the mental health facility I BEGGED to go to when I was 20. 5 colleges later with a severe drinking problem I somehow managed to graduate only to end up in the hospital. So next time you think maybe he's just a normal teenager and doesn't need all this, imagine what NOT giving him therapy/meds/pdocs or what have you might turn out like in the future. I would not wish this on anyone.

I'm back to searching for a new office for him. I called this one and told them it didn't work out. Its really ramping me up. I feel hypomanic already. Or something. I dunno. I'm waiting for the nurse to call me back after she talks with the pdoc.

It's hard as **** to see our kids struggle whether it's normal kid things or not. We often have the fear that we have biologically or environmentally messed them up. I'm learning my teen years were far from normal. Seriously sit down and think of the reasons you seeked help and what Nathan thinks. Maybe keep a therapist for him for awhile. I know he scared you a bit awhile ago.
