So, I had a dream the other night about an ex boyfriend that figured prominently in my delusions in 2010. I haven't talked to him in like 11 years, but I finally found him on the Internet today. I emailed him. STUPID!
I'm married with a son that I'm extremely devoted to. Why did I open Pandora's box? Now just the thought of talking to him makes me feel more (I am still trying to figure out the terms) hypomanic, I guess. Crap. |

Maybe you should tell your husband about it. It is not clear whether the ex bf himself is the sole cause of the increase in hypomania, or, also, the situation you are creating by being clandestine with your husband exacerbates it. If you can tell the husband (most people would understand that the first bf - the one who got away - will always occupy a special place in your mind), you will eliminate the potentially exacerbating component of being clandestine, which might help.

Thanks... It's just a symptom of a larger problem.
Plus, he hasn't emailed back yet and probably won't. Whew! |
