My parents think that my manic episode was produced by the anesthesia from when I had my wisdom teeth removed. They thought I started acting weird around that time, but I had also been taking Zoloft, so I don't believe it is true.

I am doing minor surgery and will be placed under anesthesia and was wondering has anyone else had a reaction like that where an episode or symptoms have been triggered due to this?

Yes, each time me, my sister, my husband or son have had anesthesia we have had at least hypomanic episode. It's great because pain in a (hypo) manic state is less but then there's also the problem of injury right post-opt.
