Anyone have these? It's been going on all week for me but I think I caught it before anything stupid happened.
When am I ever going to be able to live a life again?

I'm sorry you went through that. I personally don't have hallucinations like that, but I hope you can feel better soon.
Thanks for this!

What type of hallucinations are you getting? I mean, what form are they taking?

I get the internal voices/radio that plays in my head for a few hours at night sometimes. (Granted... hasn't happened in a while.) But no, I don't think I've had any visual hallucinations.

I'm sorry that you going through that.

Do you mean hallucinations concerning your body, like phantom aches and pains? I've never heard the term "somatic hallucination" before...

You said that you "caught it before anything stupid happened". What do your somatic hallucinations lead you to do? I hope you feel better soon.

I've had tactile hallucinations... Bugs crawling on or under my skin (everywhere) is a recurring one. Not fun! Oh and I've had phantom pain, weird one, because it only hurts or burns if someone else touches me... So weiiird, glad I don't have those anymore.

It's embarassing...but it's like I'm burning from the inside out from my tummy down to my upper thighs. When this happened before I got obsessed w/ An exboyfriend.
For me, my bipolar starts in my body then the sensations mess with my mind as it searches for a reason for the sensations. I don't know how to explain it well. Maybe I should post this on the psychosis board...
A somatic hallucination is a hallucination involving sensations in the body.

The burning sensation sounds awful.

I had a period of time when I was convinced I had cancer (leukemia or a brain tumor). I developed many physical symptoms-pain near my lymph nodes, dizziness, malaise...That was really scary.

Hi Dylanzmama.
I had a specific instance of feeling like I was being infested by something like microbes after being surgically raped by bright blue creatures in an operating theatre. My entire abdomen down to my hips felt invaded. I was psychotic at the time, and paranoid that the psychiatrists and other medical people were part of a plot by a demonic alien force to take over my body. The sensations faded as the paranoia faded with medical treatment. But the memory of it still brings back uncomfortable feelings.
