My dearly beloved of 33 years was just diagnosed this morning with pancreatic and liver cancer. My God, we thought he just had a bad gallbladder!!! Needless to say, I am DEVASTATED---as a nurse, I know these cancers are bad, bad, bad and his outlook is extremely grim. As his wife, however, I'm beside myself, and I just need somebody who cares to send prayers, good thoughts/vibes/karma for him. Thanks in advance.

I am so sorry to hear this. We have had more than our share of trials with cancer in our family, so I completely understand what you are looking at. I will keep both of you in my prayers.
Thanks for this!

I know how dangerous those cancers are, BipolarNurse.

Prayers going up now for your husband to be as free as possible from pain and to remain
emotionally calm and peaceful. Also praying for your continued calmness and growth
of faith through this tragedy.

Keep in touch. Prayers will go up intermittently for your whole family during this
time of sorrow also.
Thanks for this!

You and your husband will be in my prayers. I am not very good at choosing the right words of comfort, but I want you to know that I care for you and I hope that life will treat you as kindly as possible during this time.

What a devastating diagnosis and with you being a nurse you know so much more than the average family does when someone close to them is diagnosed. Will keep you in my prayers and send positive thoughts. My heart goes out to both of you. If there's anything I can do to help, I'll be happy too. We've not really talked, but my husband has been very sick recently and I know how I feel about that. Hugs to you and your hubby

First we have to see how advanced it is and where the primary tumor is located. After that, we'll decide what we need to do. I'll keep y'all posted. And thanks to all for the kind words----they help much more than you know.

It's pancreatic cancer, which has spread to the liver. About the worst prognosis possible. I'm speechless.

The metastasis in the liver is about the worst thing. Do your children all know about the prognosis or is it between you and the doctors?

This is a difficult time for you, your husband, and family. The dx is devastating, especially with your medical background and knowledge. I'm certain that you'll make the most of every minute with your beloved husband. My heart goes out to you. My family will keep you both in our thoughts, and wish you peace every day.

All good, comforting thoughts for you and your husband---I am so sorry---(I had a brother in law who went into the hospital with presumptive gall bladder trouble and renal cancer was found...it is devastating...)---
