After I exercised today I started to think about the possibility of exercise causing a manic episode. I have heard that bipolar can cause one to over exercise but can it trigger a manic or that "high" feeling? I got a rush from it today, and I felt the room moving with me until I got a headache and stomach ache, but not sure if I got the manic high?

Exercise can release endorphins and make you feel good. But feeling good is...good. That feeling not only does not *negatively* affect people, it's helpful. If it were mania, it would be a completely different animal.
Enjoy your exercise high! |
