A strange thing happened I want to know if anyone else has experienced as the "snapping" in my head felt like the thing i experinced with my first dose of Effexor (which i don't take now ) Or is it the calm before the storm.
The most bizzare thing happened a couple of days ago. It felt like something snapped in my head, I cried, felt like I was about to die, couldn't breathe, felt like i was drowning, felt light headed, weak and shaky and nauseous. Slept for such a long time, but woke feeling incredibly calm and self-confident with none of the constant background anxiety I've had for the last 18 months or so. Feel like how I used to feel 10 years ago. I hope it lasts. Can't wait to discuss with my T. |

I have not experienced it myself, but have heard it mentioned a lot when people have come off a med or are weaning down.
Have you come off or gone down on any meds recently ? I heard Effexor is one of the worse. I guess it could happen when you start or go up on a dose too.

I've had the popping sounds on back of my head & neck from starting Prozac long ago. And horrible painful brain zaps from quitting cymbalta - not on anything now except klonopin. But doesn't sound like you're saying it's med related? If there have been no med changes this sounds like when I've had a thing called a kundalini release, has to do with stuffed blocked energies along chakras & meridians finally blasting through crown head chakra. Can be quite uncomfortable at the time but worth it as it is healing enlightening balancing in result.

Hi Blue
Its not med related. It did feel more spiritual but physical at the same time. Well of course it woulld the two are intertwined. Thaks for that. |

Cool... It's something yogis strive for, for decades, and then many others of us these days experience spontaneously. There is a beautiful visual I like of Kundalini energy as the goddess Shakti resting at base or spine, she rises up awakening creativity, healing chakras spinning them like wheels. She rises out of crown as a silver sparkling light, seeking her lover Shiva. He is symbolled as golden sparkling light, the 2 blend in love and completeness, and shower down blessings & healing light thru the aura. Returning the healing energy up thru the physical body again.
