I haven't seen any posts from her and her name isn't in the member list.

All my former posts where she posted her name has been changed to Anonymous/guest.

Did she leave or say goodbye ? Is she ok ?

She has been a great support for me.

I believe she left as a self-care measure. Too many unkind debaters. Sometimes its just not worth it to subject yourself to continued unkindness because you happen to hold different views. She chose to remove herself for her own peace of mind.

Well, if she reads this thread, I was also wondering. I find her posts intriguing and informative. I know she can come across as very passionate, but frankly, I admire that! Wether or not her views are in sync with my own is irrelevant, I just like hearing different perspectives from people who are knowledgable and care...she certainly fits that description! Anyhow...Genetic...I will miss your posts and I hope you are ok.

I agree with you I respect different opinions, you learn that way.

I am sorry to see that Genetic has gone. I can understand, though, how she could find the boards to be upsetting. I have been trying to spend less time here because I really worry when someone is missing, if they haven't let us know that they are taking a break! As some know on here, I have occasionally had to check on you through a pm for my own peace of mind.

Aren't groups like this 'self governing'? If someone is causing a problem, doesn't the group, as a cohesive whole, step in and stop the instigator? Just wondering...

We are moderated, but I have been here since 2010 and have not seen a lot of mod action on the bipolar forum. Usually I think the people here are pretty good about working together as empathy is strong common trait among us. Sometimes we could use some mods help tho. There should be enough room here for different view points.

I will miss Gen too , I understand tho and have taken breaks myself. Sometimes we need to. I feel that she is wise and will continue to take care of herself well. Maybe she will return at a later date.
