When I am manic I have movements preceded by tension that are very hard to control. Things like snapping my head back and clapping my hands. Olanzapine calms it, but I would like more information about it. Does anyone else suffer from movements they can't control when they are manic? I don't have this problem during other states. What helps you?

I got involuntary movement from Wellbutrin and it's gone since I left the meds. Clapping hands though, seems to go with my hypomania!

I kind of tic. I dont think it is a real tic but my body moves involuntarily, ie my head will snap to the side, my arms will snap to my sides, my shoulders might move up towards my ears for a split second. It is usually in response to a disturbing thought. It happens both when I am high or low.

I get muscle twitches when I go too long without sleep (normally when hypomanic) esp my eyes
