I just had a med change and I understand the need for antimanic meds to stop EVERYTHING in order to stop the manic but I am glued to the sofa for hours in a near coma. Any one have any advice how to get moving in the day? I seem to 'wake up' about 230pm or so. I have a dr appt at 1015am tomorrow and dont know how I'm gonna make it. Much less the 8am one on Wed! I'm not feeling so wound up so I guess they're working. But still, I need to function!

When do you take the meds that have you couch bound? Could you take them a little earlier or after the appointment?

I take them at night around 10pm and I am comatose until around 230pm the next day basically. I have skipped my saphris tonight and have yet to go to sleep (it is almost 3am) so I believe it is the increased saphris that is the problem, not the depakote. I see my ther in the morning but my pdoc is in the same bldg I may see if I can slip a note to her while I am there to ask about it. Though I see her on Wed morning too.
