I would mention it to your pdoc, 3 months does seem like a long time to wait for any results at all

6-8 weeks is common for a med to actually start working. So you've only been on it for 4 weeks, so it definitely shouldn't be doing much right now.

And depending on the level you've started at - wait the 6-8 weeks after starting on the actual dosage and not a lower dose.

If you're on a lower dose and you're going up then you won't feel much yet. I definitely say give it the full three months unless it's giving you bad side effects. If you're just not sure if it's working then stick it out. I was going up on my Zoloft and it's been about two months now and I'm feeling better. It takes a bit. I hope you're doing okay <3

You're doing something good for your mental health everyday by taking the meds. Your chemistry changes a little at a time and over that time you can more easily see if it's making the changes you were looking for.

You and your doctor are learning about how your body and mind react to different amounts in your system over time. You'll need this information later.

Good luck, you're doing great taking them everyday! If you're comfortable and have doctor supervision, keep going!

this is one for me...

you will be okay....

now !..

listen and trust

sometimes medicines are mis-appropriated

I hate to see you on the wrong end....

there is a type of dysfunction that medication can give you....

if you feel very strange very awkward...

then

it aint no good honey!....

and what else?

just pass it by you will be ok...
Thanks for this!

Three months with no improvement sounds like too long. I've been on viibryd (antidepressant) for almost three months and zilch. I'm making an appointment with a new psychiatrist today. The waiting game is over for me.

I currently am not seeing a pdoc ( I have my reasons) I'm fine with my Zoloft 50mg recently cut down from 100. I also take xanax as needed. I was recently put on Depakote (valproic acid) 750 mg in 3 doses 250/dose and this is the one I'm thinking of stopping....
