I was driving home from volunteering at an animal boarding facility and I considered just driving into something or off of something and ending it all. I don't think my medicine is working anymore, and my anxiety is getting worse. I'm on the highest mg of xanax and it isn't helping, even doubling my dosage. Anyone recommend a better medication, or am I just screwed? Not only that but I'm pretty sure my bipolar is no longer being controlled by the medicines that I'm on, and the anti-seziure stand in for a mood stabilizer really isn't helping. This whole week has been absolute hell, and, to top it all off, my paranoia is setting back in. What do I do? Any tips on how to help myself? Thanks guys. Don't even mention my doctor, I can't get in touch with her, and my appointment is 2 weeks away.

Call psych ER and ask to speak with a nurse and tell them you can't get ahold of your pdoc at all.
