I've been weaning off effexor since July, because it put me in a mixed state.

Started at 200. Weaned down from 18% last night, had a terrible evening full of crying and panic. Today, better but still rough. I know from experience tomorrow will be better.

Currently at 9% (a quarter of a pill).

I take my last pill on Saturday. I am so, so, so excited.

(Also started Lamotrigine, and last weekend - at 18mg effexor and 75mg lamotrigine, I felt stable for the first time in 2 years. I felt tearful the entire weekend because I felt so comparatively wonderful)

For the first time in a really long time, I feel hopeful.

I'm glad you are feeling better and the new meds have helped. I, too, am feeling better after a long depression and am beginning to see some improvement after my last med change. Good luck to you.

Good to hear! That's quite the taper to get off Effexor! I took myself off of 225mg's in a week, since I couldn't stand that med. Anyway, I've found that it's all about the dose and being on the correct meds. I like Lexapro, Welbutrin, Lamictal, and Latuda! The correct and proper dose is so difficult to find in the med cocktail! All the best!!!
