Does anyone on Abilify experience drowsiness? I feel like I'm dragging. I currently take it in the morning with my Lamictal and Zoloft. Will I get the same benefits if I take it at night? I'm not quite sure how it works I guess. This med stuff is all new to me.

Yes, I've had this issue. Pdoc says about 10% of patients do. He told me that taking it at night would be helpful. (I didn't because I'm much better at remembering my pills in the am).

Btw, we're on very similar cocktails of meds: I take Abilify, lamictal, and lexapro.

Best,
EJ

I've been taking 20mg of Abilify in the a.m. for a few months and so far everything seems ok; however, before that I was on Lamictal and Abilify and I felt sluggish and tired all day.

I take 10mg in the morning and don't feel like it slows me down. Abilify does have a long half life so it shouldn't make a bit of difference if you take it at night.

i experienced some drowsiness so my pdoc recommended I take it at night. I actually take most my meds at night for that reason, and since I have insomnia anyway. good luck.

That sounds like what wellbutrin does to me. Pissed off and over the top all the time.

If it's a once a day med, then it's fine to take it at night. It actually makes more sense to take the med which makes you drowsy at night, right? Your doc should have thought of and suggested this. Good luck and take care.

I take 10mg of Abilify daily. I started by taking it in the morning but I felt drowsy and had a bit of blurred vision. My pdoc told me to switch to taking it in the evening and it has made no difference in its effectiveness.
