Hey all!
I take lamotrigine 200 mg at the moment. I feel like it does help somewhat but I still struggle with the anger, anxiety and constant irritation & paranoia. Does anyone have a med combo that works for them? I am going to my Pdoc next week and I'm just curious if there was a type of med that would aim specifically at helping the "mania" and contactant anger/irritation & paranoia.

Thank you for your help!

If you are in a manic phase and experiencing paranoia, perhaps an antipsychotic would help.

You may need more than 200mg, I did. Recently I had Wellbutrin added, my doc was a bit apprehensive to give it to me because my symptoms are similar to yours, but so far I have had a lot of success with the combo.

Abilify worked really well for me until I tried to quit smoking and threw everything out of whack.

Meds are so hard to get right, I have tried most of them Now on Lithium, Lamotrigin, haldol, lergigan, lyrika and imovane to sleep. My last mania ended in a psychosis and what I think helped was haldol. Anxiedy is really helped by lyrika. Hope u find u'r perfect mix!

Thanks everyone.. I def need something that helps my irritation, anger & paranoia. Some days I feel like the lamotrigine works and other days not at all. Yesterday I was so annoyed at everything and everyone that I pretty much held my breath and clenched my fists all day to avoid an outburst.

I go to my PDoc tomorrow so maybe she will change my meds or something. I just feel constantly like I want to run away from myself.

I am also on 200 mg of lamictal and having similar symptoms as yours. I get over emotional and am feeling down and angry. I think we might need more lamictal.

I take 200 mg lamotrigine, 60 mg Viibryd, 60 mg Vyvance and 120 mg Latuda. Latuda changed my life, it made me feel way better and helped me think again.
