In my late 20s , but how knows maybe even earlier than that. I wasn't diagnosed until my 30s.

age 6 ... was diagnosed at age 43

Back then they didn't consider BP at such an early age.

looking back, I think I've always had it. I remember being 7 and 8 years old and feeling such extreme emotions, being manic, and having fits of rage. I thought about suicide and threatened it on a few occasions...I also had self injury tendencies.

I thought all that was just the "craziness" of who I am, but now I know i'm not the only one.
Thanks for this!

a year and 3 months later.

I still don't think I'm bipolar.

I think my manic/hypomanic moods are the person I'm Supposed to be.

oh well, enjoying this depression lithium gives me....

This. I was "diagnosed" by a pDoc when I was around 12 and then current T in Sept 2013 (age 25) confirmed again through Millon test - but I feel the exact same way as JP except I refuse to take meds. So far it hasn't hurt anything.

Another late-in-lifer here. Looking back, my symptoms started around the age of 6 when there was a huge amount of upheaval going on in my life, but I wasn't diagnosed until age 53.
