I have been reading about what everyone has experienced and so many of those are so me. Im seeing a pdoc but he swears that I'm not bi polar. he had so many years experience that he knows. He, too me has the wrong approach he doesn't seem to be listening to me and that my life is like a roller coaster everyday. He thinks just an anti depressant will be all I need but the last one I took made me stay up for 3 days. Celexa was another one I took and it didn't work either. I'm now on depokote 1000 mg a day and doing better but still think it could be better. Still not sleeping well and have times where I'm so irritable is not even funny

Welcome to the forum!

I'm sorry your pdoc isn't listening to you. Have you gotten a second opinion?

Sounds like you should see another Dr. You should always have a say in your care. If you are not being listened to, then that Dr is worthless as far as I'm concerned.

Some pdocs are not so quick to put someone on anti-psychotics, others at the drop of a hat. Basically u just need a mood stabilizer and AD. Easier said then done because it takes a lot of trial and error before the right combo is found. Good Luck!

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm waiting on my new insurance to kick in and getting a second opinion. Ive been reading that it can take time to find the right mixture of meds. Just gets frustrating sometimes
