End of July: Put me in the hospital, Dx with Bipolar Mixed Episodes, Severe depression, Suicidal, & Borderline personality traits. Basically, I was in depression that was intermixed with anger, restlessness, running up and down the hall, etc...They treated me with meds that were not working, so went to ECTs (YUK). I was there for 3 more weeks. The ECT, which left me mindless, reduced some of the symptoms but I was still feeling bad. I went home but was back in a week! (September) My doc talked me into more ECTs. After the eight one, I was very confused, had no memory or thought processes. I stayed there 2 more days (without ECTs). My family was irate. They have never seen me so confused. I was so confused that I hardly could talk. (November) So I got an MRI of the brain. It had lesions, so (Dec) I went to a neurologist, who did a couple assessments on me. He wasn't satisfied so he wants me to get a spinal tap (Will be done by him at his office). All of my doctors think I have MS and the real strange thing is, for the previous wk or so, I been having many of the symptoms of MS (which includes the memory loss)
I feel a lot better now, got much memory back, and no confusion. Doc also changed some meds and my moods overall are OK.
I go for the spinal tap this Thursday, so wish me luck and send prayers

It'll be a nasty half-hour out of your life, then it will be over. MS is treatable-more so than even 5 years ago. It's serious, but to a large extent manageable.
