So I'm BP1. I had a full blown manic episode last year. Followed by depression. Followed by a mixed episode. Then a stable mood. For the last week my mood has been elevated. Less sleep. Lack of concentration. Extreme irritability. When I had my manic episode last year I wasn't on meds. Long story. What are the chances my hypo mood will just dissipate and hopefully not be followed by depression. Man I don't want the depression again. My pdoc has upped my lithium and saphris which made me sleep last night. I'm just wondering if type 1 gets hypomania this means it will be followed by mania. Because that's what happened to me last year.

I'm type one, current depressed state.

I'd get hypomania than normal, or depressed, I never follow a cycle, like rolling the dice.

I've been in a depressed state for 8 months coming off ultra rapid cycling from an antidepressant.

Not everyone goes hypo to manic ... It just depends on the person. I have gone Manic (angry) with no hypo leading to it and I have been hypo and just went back to baseline ..

Maybe keep a mood chart and see if you can see a pattern .

Good luck ~
