Has anyone tried armodafinil as an augmenting agent with mood stabilizers for bipolar depression? I've been on almost everything, and still depressed, so i'm researching options. I came across this drug, but i don't know much about it. I might ask my pdoc if i can try it, but i'm interested in other people's experiences with it first.

It's a non-amphetine drug, that works like a stimulant. I was on vyvanse briefly and it was starting to work, but i had to stop it because my work does urine drug screens and if tests positive as an amphetamine. I tried strattera, another non-amphetamine stimulant, but it did nothing for me so i stopped it.

I don't know if adding more meds is the answer, or maybe reducing meds would help. I want to try something, and i'm running out of options

It is worth discussing the pros and cons of it with your pdoc. Never personally heard of it, but I'm sure you can find out more about it. I like webmd, they have a lot of info on all kinds of medical questions.
