Is there anyone else who suffers from Bipolar that one of their forms of self medicating or regaining control in mania/depression has been an eating disorder? I'm struggling with this right now and am just at a loss for how to get out of this vicious cycle.
Thanks for this!

I use my eating disorder to control my mania and depression. My anti depressant/ anti psychotic medication was increased and it completely taken away. My eating disorder gets so bad when cycling that I'll go days without food. I have agreed with my therapist if I go 2 days w/o food.

i was mostly recovered from my ed (not afraid of food, normal weight, decent body image) until this last depressive episode took my appetite completely. once i started losing weight, the ed thoughts came back. which turned into obsessions. now im depressed and fighting that also. it seems it never ends.
